I started playing Harmonica when I was 14 years old and with this little instrument I discovered the Blues. Later I played for 10 years in a Blues Band called Black Mountain Blues Band and was booked a few times as a studio musician. Today I only play in echoing staircases and while waiting for the coffee machine filling up my cup. And I built this platform.

I participated in a “Slow Blues Competition” for harmonica players with this short entry. It was organized by Konstantin Reinfeld, a top German player, to be followed on his Twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/konstantinreinfeld.
He runs such a challenge every month: very inspiring for harp players. And everyone who likes the little instrument too.
This song is of course not from me, I just play along a bit with the harmonica. How it came about that I play as a total amateur on an album of a German world star is a special story.

When I was about 20 years old, I stood on a festival stage with a guitarist whom I had met barely 1 hour before – actually my first public gig. We were interval fillers, but at least we were mentioned by name in the program booklet.

After the concert, the sound engineer came to me and wanted to get my address for his studio musician file. I was flattered a little bit.

Many years later, the sound technician called me and asked me if I would play in one of his productions – fee CHF 250.- The sound technician had become world famous in the meantime as Phil Carmen himself and produced among others also this disc of Nena in his recording studio in Stein am Rhein.

I accepted.
